FAQ

Bond Pro is a Mortgage Originator, what does this mean?

Mortgage Originators apply to the bank on behalf of their clients. They do all the negotiating and following up with the banks so that the client can relax knowing that their home loan is being handled by professionals.

What will your service cost me?

We offer our service to the client free of charge

How do you offer a discount on bond registration fees if you do not charge a fee, are there any hidden costs?

No. There are no hidden costs. Most other Mortgage Originators pay a referral commission to the Estate Agents. Bond Pro cuts out the agent’s commission and gives the money back to the client. We furthermore have negotiated excellent rates with the group of Attorneys we recommend.

By using Bond Pro services, will I necessarily be able to obtain a lower rate?

In most instances yes, however not always as the bank decides on the rate, not Bond Pro. A Bond Pro consultant, however, will motivate your application to obtain the lowest possible rate on your behalf. Often the banks offer a better rate than your current bank to try and get you as a client for other products.

Can’t I get better interest rates when applying directly at my own bank?

You can apply at your own bank, but it is highly unlikely that you will obtain a better interest rate. We obtain lower interest rates at the banks as an incentive for doing business with them. The banks also realise that they are in competition with one another when an application is received via a bond originator and will, as a result, offer the lowest interest rate possible.

Will my chances of obtaining a home loan improve when applying through Bond Pro?

Yes, bond originators know what an applicant needs to successfully obtain a home loan. Our home loan consultants have excellent knowledge of the lending criteria used by the banks and will ensure that the application is completed with the bank’s requirements and expectations in mind. We can also assist with bad credit listings (at a separate fee) by updating accounts or removing judgments
given that the accounts are paid up.

How many applications do I need to complete?

You will only need to complete one single application which we will use to apply at all the major banks on your behalf.
